Going Bananas / Dake Kang, ’16

Dake Kang, ’16 (Sultan Qaboos College Arabic Program, Times of India Internship)

HONORABLE MENTION

Tucked away behind one of the mountains surrounding Jaipur, the famed "Pink City" of India, Jaipur's Monkey Temple is curiously devoid of visitors--and equally crowded with monkeys. Monkeys are violent creatures, but the monkeys there were amazingly tame, used to cajoling sympathetic humans for food. As a result, I was able to get unusually close to one, going to town on a banana and staring straight into the lens.
