Fort Donelson National Cemetery

This 15 acre cemetery is part of the Fort Donelson Historic Park in Dover, Tn. Fort Donelson was a decisive victory during the Civil War for the Union. This cemetery started in 1867 and contains the burials of 670 Union soldiers. Later that added burials of people who fought in other wars but is now closed for new burials. The only service men who were never allowed to be buried here were Confederate soldiers. The Cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
