Roger Troutman

He was the lead singer for the group Zapp who would help pave the way for West Coast hip hop. He would use a talkbox which is connected to an instrument that would create different vocal effects. He would use this in one of West Coast raps most famous songs, California Love by Tupac and Dr Dre. He would sing the chorus for that song using this instrument. He is buried in Green Wood Cemetery in Hamilton, Oh.
