ADA, OKLA — Services for Hazel Adell Watts, 96, Ada, are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Weldon Wright officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Watts died July 24, 2006, at Madill hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1909, at Ada, to James Richard and Bessie Mae Middleton Cooper. She attended Ada schools. She moved to California in 1940 and returned to this area in 1990.
She married Poley Jacob “P.J.” Watts in 1946, at California. He died in 1983. Mrs. Watts was a homemaker and formerly worked for Hazel-Atlas Glass, Ada.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carlton Raper in 1989; and two brothers, Guy Cooper and Guynn Cooper.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Watts, Madill; a son, John Richard Raper, Oklahoma City; a sister, Monnie Hyde, Irving, Texas; two brothers, Warren Cooper, Irving, Texas, and Glen Cooper, Richmond, Calif.; two grandchildren, Eric Raper and Carolyn Garcia, both of Hollister, Calif.; and four great-grandchildren
