A glimpse of the Cathedral
The Cathedral of St Rupert & St Virgil, Salzburg, seen from Domplatz. This view through one of Giovanni Darios' arches shows part of the west front of Santino Solaris' magnificent building of 1628.
Although a baroque building, probably one of the earliest north of the Alps, this facade has a rather Renaissance feel, which fits well with the buildings in Domplatz.
Another from the mountain of un-collated negatives I have aquired this year. I hadn't used a 124G for many years, & I'd forgotten what a pleasure they are to use. Adrian kindly loaned me his for the day, but I'm afraid I didn't do it justice because I was unwell. Not even an ice cold lager in Cafe Tomaselli could revive me! Thanks anyway, Adrian!
