3spineconcertina (cut 'n' folded from one A3 sheet, no waste)

    Newer Older

as it turns out two of the spines have been consumed by the saturation of folds :]

this one is a tricky number but worth the effort, was a little impatient so will have to refold this when i have a spare 5 hours haha

....more like 15 hours as it turns out, but the results are almost perfect with the second effort :)

I used to have this fantasy about having a large house with no internal walls, floors or stairs. The only furniture would be thousands of white blocks, which could all be moved about and used to form the 'rooms' or 'landscapes'. I think this is how the house might have looked.

I met a woman once who lived in a house with all mobile walls. Not thousands, maybe three or four, but it was a really special flexible space.

There's a scene in the movie Toys where they make a room smaller by moving in the white walls.

Also, guess you don't have any cats or dogs in your house. These paper buildings would get stood on and crushed!

I admire you for such a talent. All your "constructions" from paper are beautiful. How do you do that, all the folds and cuts fit together so perfectly? I tried to make something like this, but I failed. Some folds were badly chosen so it wasn't as I wanted it to be.
