A few random photos from our trip along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway

The Hells Canyon Scenic Byway is a loop that encircles the Wallowa Mountains, intersecting with Interstate 84 at Baker City and La Grande.

The byway is a popular destination for group tours and independent travelers alike, and offers visitors a chance to experience small town Americana in small towns like Halfway, Richland and Newbridge, as they explore the rugged and spectacular Northeast Oregon landscape along the way.

Hwy 86 between Baker City and the Hells Canyon Dam at the bottom of the canyon is open year round providing visitors access to the deepest river gorge in North America.
