The Djurdjura Mountains - Algeria

    Newer Older

No need to say that a small photo is not sufficient to describe this magnificent landscape. Standing here looking at this breathtaking view, one's lungs are filled with fresh cold air, the sound of the wind in the trees and the intense green filling the eyes are hard to copy into a small photo. This is the best my camera could do, even better is that you go there and see it for yourself. One advice though to all visitors, take your garbage with you and never throw it on the ground. Beautiful Algeria deserve better than to be littered everywhere like it is now.

Gorgeous shot of beautiful moutains which my soul belongs to. I hope you did enjoy your trip to Algeria, which has been filled with litter in the last years. What a shame to see such a beautiful country left unprotected !

Fantastic landscape, beautiful view, I hope you had a great trip, I'll look at the rest of the photos tomorrow. I echo your comment about garbage, what a shame about plastic bags and bottles everywhere (same problem in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia etc.)

Excellent panorama! Breathtaking indeed. Yes littering is an issue and people need to be educated regarding this matter.

Thank you Thafeth! :) Yes, I must agree with you that the littering is a huge problem and it has increased. I find this very tragic and sad since nature and wild animals will suffer from this. Also pollution of ground water due to all the toxic wastes everywhere. I cannot understand why this is ignored and nobody cares to do something about it, it is in the interest of everybody to have a clean and a beautiful country. Beside this I enjoyed this trip even more than the last, I was warmly welcomed by many nice Algerians and several sweet Algerian families with lots of children, it warms my heart to meet so much kindness everywhere I go :)

Thank you Tan for your great comment :) I didn't know this about South America but it seems that this is a global problem and very little has been done to solve it. The responsability is on everybody I think to have a clean surrounding. The goverment must educate children and adults, and also make possible for companies to take care of recycled bottles, metals and plastics.

Sweetest thanks Salah, I like your comments very much and I am always happy to see your kind words under my photos. Yes absolutely education is important for everybody to learn how to take care of our fragile enviroment. At the end of the food chain are the human beings, and all which we throw away will find its way back into our system which will after some time cause sickness and suffering...
