2010 fireworks composite 1

Macy's July 4th fireworks, as seen from Weehawken, NJ. The view is thanks to the fact that the fireworks were on the west side of Manhattan this year (they're usually on the east side), so you can see (from left to right) the Chrysler Building, the New Yorker Hotel, One Penn Plaza, and the Empire State Building.

I've seen the fireworks a couple times from Manhattan, when they were on the East River. This year's show was the best fireworks show I've seen. Terrific view and a really convenient location...the mall is in walking distance and paid parking is available. There are also a few restaurants nearby if you want to pass the time.

Anyway, about the picture...it's actually 3 different shots of the same scene, assembled together in Photoshop.

Photoshop: curves, layers, eraser, flip.
