Helen Clark visits Indonesia
On the first day of her three-day trip to Indonesia, UNDP chief Helen Clark traveled to Central Kalimantan, where she took a boat through parts of the province to see first-hand the forest cover and peat lands which face a real threat of deforestation.

On the second day, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono met with UNDP chief Helen Clark in Jakarta where they discussed Indonesia’s pioneering efforts to prevent deforestation and degradation as part of a UN initiative. In addition, she gave a Keynote Address at the Business for Environment Summit 2011 and participated in a Youth Dialogue.
