Journalist gives inaugural broadcast at Radio Hémicycle, Porto-Novo, Benin

A journalist inaugurates Radio Hémicycle with a live broadcast during the National Assembly in Porto-Novo, Sept. 19, 2011. The UNDP-supported installation and launch of Radio Hémicycle allowed one million Benin listeners to tune in live to the National Assembly’s Plenary Sessions. With two studios, two control rooms, a mixing station, administrative offices, and a high-frequency transmitter, the modern broadcasting facility provides balanced programming designed to reinforce Benin’s democratic governance.
