Landmine clearance in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Kabumba, as small village in Eastern Congo, was heavily mined during the five-year conflict in the region between 1998-2003. This picture shows a female deminer from DanChurchAid (DCA). UNMAS supported DCA to begin demining operations in Kabumba in 2006.
