"Colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment."
I still have some colour left from autumn. And I'll bring whatever I can find forth, because there is nothing to photograph outside at the moment. More snow is coming our way, more cold. And I almost bought a D700 today... On an impulse. Yep, that's me, clicking away. Thank goodness I was distracted by something and ended up coming to my senses. Sometimes I fear myself, and my ability the destroy. I'm a bomb.
That was such a pathetic sound.... *shakes her head*
Well, this bomb will now withdraw to her chamber, read her book and try to put it away before dawn (which will be VERY difficult...).
I'm slowly catching up here on flickr, but I'm not quite there yet. Bare with me my dears. Or do you wanna be deers... it's perfectly fine really.
I'd like to be a deer... a graceful one, jumping around, OR maybe a white stag, the symbol of the king... the Legend of King Arthur etc. Yes, I could be a white stag, even if I'm a woman, it's the days of equality, yes? Yes.
See, this is what Robert Baden-Powell said about the great white (no, not the shark): "The White Stag has a message for you. Hunters of old pursued the miraculous stag, not because they expected to kill it, but because it led them in the joy of the chase to new and fresh adventures, and so to capture happiness. You may look on the White Stag as the true spirit of Scouting, springing forward and upward, ever leading you onward to leap over difficulties, to face new adventures in your active pursuit of the higher aims of Scouting."
Perfect. Let's all follow the white stag shall we! Let's all be each others White Stags! And all together now: "Always prepared!" (do you say that in English...? When you're given the motto "be prepared", do you answer as above? That's the custom here in Finland.)
*and then she strikes the pose*
Yeah, I'm an old Scout, can still tie some knots. Maybe. At least a Sailor's knot.
