      Dear Elinor,

A stellar pic, and just the way I remember it in December. Though I don't remember the sand! A real beach they had!

      Many thanks José!
Thanks for your kind comment, Devlin. Széchenyi bath in December is quite pleasant You spotted the sand - interesting but not a whale of difference with our days.

There was a competition to win a trip to Budapest on tv recently and these pools were shown....I recognized them immediately from your link. They looked wonderful but very crowded.

wow, Kaye, I don't know how could I miss your comment.
Interesting coincidence, and funny for me that someone could win in Australian tv a trip to Budapest! No wonder the place was crowded, it was a very hot weather in spite of mid June! (37 degrees in Budapest. In June at us the temperature is usually 26-30 °C)

We have a travel programme which has been on tv for many years. I don't watch it often but it is always interesting and means people like me who don't travel much, can see the world from our lounge room. It's called 'Getaway' and here is the link to the show that I saw showing these pools.

I've checked it - funny what she thought typical in Hungary... (Nobody does the folkdance only for tourists, odd people who are eating and so on...)
