That is awesome! But where did you find the actual background? Maybe you could post some instructions on how to do that because I tried to create a Star Trek-themed desktop but failed totally…
    Keep up the good work!

"Captain's Log, Stardate 16254.7.. There is nothing to report from my mother's basement,"

    I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist.

    Awesome! Good work!
I have one (really minor, finishing-touch-type) suggestion: find an LCARS font and use that instead of what you're using now.

I will be forever in your debt, if you would be so kind as to post a full tutorial, with the scripts you used.

    That is amazing!

Oh my! This is a dream come true.

My assignment: make this on my Mac.

And then, I guess, on my wife's and my daughter's, otherwise, they'll harrass me…

Hmmm, hard at work, here. :o)

Kinda hard for someone who only knows where the Terminal application is located in the Utility folder… ;o)

Can we hope some tutorial or maybe just the command lines needed to activate some features in GeekTool?

And what is this Lynx you use for weather?

    r0ssar00 : Great suggestion…

Anyone knows where a nice looking Star Trek TNG font can be found?

The LCARS font is called Swiss911 UltraCompact... Well, at least thats the closest one I've found so far.

I think Helvetica Ultra Condened is used as well.
Also keen to see the instructions on how to set this up :)

Momoses, is there a way you could bundle the apps, scripts and image so that one with no experience could open the zip, install the files and be good to go?
