Crested Francolin, Francolinus sephaena sephaena,

This adult was one of several seen near Letaba Camp, Kruger National Park in August 2013. It was often seen morning and evening in coveys feeding by the side of the road. This species is most frequently seen in weel wooded savanna in southern and eastern Africa. This race can be found from E Zimbabwe to se Botswana and ne South Africa.
