Obviously I've enhanced this; especially, I've boosted contrast to bring out the superb low-relief. To appreciate it, look at the large size.
Note too the dazzling bronze-copper work around the lower rim.
Odd isn't it, that while the mezzanine windows are in full Palazzo style, the floor above, even though extravagently decorated, has simple Federal-modern casements.
All in all though, the amount of thought and coordination that went into this facade, not to mention money, is almost at a Roman Empire level.
