Habitat: Native of Europe, Asia and North Africa. Perennial herb grows up to 80cm in height. Widespread in Australia around pastures, cultivation, lawns, fallow paddocks, disturbed
areas, roadsides and waste sites.
Economic significance: Highly competitive in poor pastures. Believed by some grazier’s to be beneficial to pastures due to its deep taproot accessing nutrients from deep in the soil.
