From the archives. 10 years ago! "Greg LeMond Alpe d’Huez, carbon fiber tubing with carbon fiber lugs, made by Craig Calfee at CarbonFrames, nude carbon with Team Z decals. 53cm seat, 56cm top. Full 8-speed Campagnolo C-Record. The rear derailleur looks to be later than C-Record, it doesn’t have the aerodynamic styling of C-Record, and has the decal look of later Campy. Scott-labeled, TTT-produced bar and stem. Rolls saddle, Campagnolo Sigma rims, Vittoria Corsa CX tires, Time Magnesium pedals, Elite bottle cages, white Benotto tape. According to the decal on the bike and a letter from Bob LeMond accompanying the bike, this was Jerome Simon’s Team Z bike he rode throughout 1991, including supporting Greg LeMond to a 7th place finish in the Tour de France. The frame is in quite good condition except for a bit of what I’d call either corrosion or sloppy craftsmanship at the seat collar (most likely the latter) -- the carbon is rough and uneven where the carbon meets the aluminum (or titanium) seat collar. The gruppo is in used but decent condition. $2499"
