New and old growth
Wa‘ahila Ridge State Recreation Area, Honolulu.
A fallen Norfolk pine lies beside the next generation. I've been looking up a lot while using my pinhole cameras, so pointing the camera downwards to see what's at my feet is nice, too.
I went to this State park recently to get away from the noise of the city and to search for some cool fresh air. The park has many Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla) and Ironwood trees (Casuarina equisetifolia).
