Ahupua‘a O Kahana State Park is located on the Windward side of the island. This image was taken near the mouth of Kahana Stream and adjacent to Huilua fishpond.
The overhanging tree with large egg-shaped green and red leaves is the kamani haole (Terminalia catappa), an introduced species that has spread along many shoreline areas in Hawai‘i.
