Northbound Coast Starlate at Dunsmuir Ca.

Dunsmuir is a historic railroad town 55 rail miles north of Redding. The Southern Pacific had shops and a yard there from steam locomotive days. Amtrak’s Coast Starlight continues to stop here, usually in the middle of the night, and Amtrak California’s bus that originates in Medford, Oregon, stops there on its round trip connecting with the San Joaquin and Capitol trains in Sacramento.This is the most northerly stop in California before the train crosses in to Oregon

Note.. Dunsmuir station California; Its 8.01am and this train Normally departs here Departs: 5:04 AM PDT so we are about 3 hours late a good opportunity to get a few daylight photos
