Daimler of Coventry 1896 - 1966 book - "Midland Red"/BMMO Daimler Fleetlines on route 159, 1960s

In 1966 Daimler Transport Vehicles of Coventry produced a lavish book to celebrate 70 years afloat. The book looks at the company's various models and operators who bought and used Daimler buses and coaches. The book is a devil to scan/photograph as it is a plastic cover and binding so apologies for the quality of the images.

The BMMO, aka Midland Red, tended to build their own buses, and so purchases of other manufacturers vehicles was less than usual - I suspect Daimler were blowing their own trumpet as the Midland Red Daimler Fleetlines get quite a spread! Various images of the batch of Alexander bodied Fleetlines (including I think 5287 HA) are seen at various points on the company's 159 Birmingham - Coventry route - "intercity" transport along the A45! - and this is a full page spread of one amongst the trees!
