British Rail - "Captain Caution" railway safety leaflet, 1985
"Hey You!" - Captain Caution saves two more 'neds' from the line of death! Actually they look very 'posh' to be playing around - and after all this has a serious message that is still valid. An obvious attempt to use comic book imagery to appeal to the target audience - very much like "The Green Cross Code Man" of the same era. What is of interest is something not often seen - the 'lightening' logo used that is a play on the BR double arrow device that is still in use to denote Britain's railways, National Rail, and that, like all good logos, shouldn't be 'played with' according to the brand experts!
