Cinnamon Teff Waffles with Blueberry Compote

    Newer Older

A while ago, a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases called City of Hope contacted me to see if I'd make a recipe for their Superfoods Recipe Collection. I came up with these waffles using cinnamon and blueberry (2 of the 5 foods they identified). Story and recipe on my blog.

Waffles photograph so well due to their interesting landscape. They have a beautiful hue, too. More I look at the image, more I like it. At first I thought it looks a bit dry. Now, after a while, I don't think so any more. Soon I will licking the screen :-)

It's very very subtle – colors, composition and mood. You are artist. And very talented.

Love the beaker. I remember stealing those from my school labs.

just said what I was thinking. Love the colour of the wooden board. The only odd note fpr me, is the towel under the plate.

Thanks for the comments and favs, everyone! I really appreciate the feedback. Sorry my response isn't more thorough but I don't have as much time since I'm at the beach 8).

Vera, these boards are fairly recent. I got them from my boyfriend's best friend's family barn. They've been weathered outside quite a bit. I'd still love a darker, browner vintage type wood and some with more knots but I am enjoying the versatility offered by these =). I used them previously in my watermelon vodka cooler shots if you remember hehe.
