Outrageous Chocolate Butterscotch Chip Cookies

    Newer Older

These cookies were meant to be a gift for my Flickr buddy Crystal who made me the awesome stuffed toy cookie (see her photo of it in comments). I tried to make my cookie look vaguely like her toy =D. You might notice a difference in texture between the cookies in the photo, I forgot the melted butter in the first half and mixed it in before baking the second half. Can you guess which is which?

Story and recipe on my blog.

Hahaha...you gave those cookies for exchange, very nice. Is that your new wooden board ?

Thanks, Tika! I've actually had it for a while. Painted it especially for my Halloween cupcakes, if you'll recall:

Oh yes of course I remember your Halloween cupcakes. Same board :D I just read your photo description. I didn't notice the difference of those cookies, until you mention it, lol. I think I know which cookies without the melted butter :D

Wow, sounds very tempting. I haven't had a cookie for a while, time to make some.
Love the color of your wood, and the arrangement. Very casual fits those outrageous cookies.
      New cooling racks, btw? :)

Love this Xiaolu! I really like how you shoot on textured backgrounds, this dark grey works so well with the cookies. Do you make your own backdrops by any chance?

    16. Xiaolu // 6 Bittersweets 49 months ago | reply

Thanks a lot, Jen! This is the only backdrop I've made but yes I did paint it myself. It's just cheap wood from Home Depot that I painted with gray paint that I bought in a small "sample" size with a medium-large brush :).

Xiaolu, I think you did a great job! I love this shade of grey. Oh, for some reason, I have problems accessing your blog recently but I will try again :)

Thanks for your comment, Jen. Looks like you got through in the end. I have no idea why it wasn't working. Please let me know if it happens again!
