Hohohoh.... good start for the new year. I haven't shoot any food photo this year yet. Been busy lately.
They all look yummy, Xiaolu ! I can't wait to read the recipe.
About the photo, I don't like the way you arrange the spoon, a bit awkward. But I do love the lighting. :)

oh, how delightful are these! I've had them only once before and they are almost similar to Yorkshire Puddings which I make with roast dinners. I've never had it as a dessert/sweet though, but I can see it would work perfectly well. I, too, like the little blob of red jam. I would have placed the spoon in the bowl of sour cream instead of having it standing by the jam jar, but that's just me!

I have seen the recipe, it looks delicious . What is the white that fill inside?. And I agree with Aisha about the spoon :). anyway I really love your plate.

Thanks for your input, all! Tika, Aisha, and Asri, I agree the spoon looks a bit awkward. I'd actually intended it to be more to the side on the left originally but was having trouble keeping it up. Now that I think about it, sticking it either in the jam pot or sour cream bowl would have been good alternatives as well.

Asri, the white inside is sour cream. I've been really into sweet and tart lately 8D.

It looks like a natural composition. The focus and light on the jam is great. I like that there are a lot of things in this image. There is enough breathing place, too. For me the standing spoon is a statement. It blocks the eye from slipping out of the image. It has an authority, which gives an orderly sense and intelligence to the setting.

Thanks, Laksmi! As usual, I appreciate your input, and you are able to express it so concisely yet communicate so clearly still. Welcome back =D.
