I kind of agree on the fabric. I like the lighting. :)

No it's good like this!!! The colors match really well. And i prefer cloudy weather to take food pictures. It's much more softer than sunny weather.

No I like this one. ;-)

Great composition, choice of colors, soft light. I really like the texture of the tart, so yummy!

No, I think the blue is a nice compliment to the red in the tart. The only thing I would change is the pink napkin, it's distracting my eye from the tart on the stand just a bit. Is this the tart you were going to bake when your friend came to town?

Thanks for your feedback, Sylvie! Yes, it is. Sadly, she's been stuck in London due to the snow, but hopefully she can still make it a little later this holiday season.

The light on the right side is a bit stronger. But above all, I love the colors here and the tart looks yummy :)

I like the natural light a lot, only I miss the highlight on the cake itself, it is kind of in the shadow. The colors are well chosen, light blue, white goes nicely to the red. I don't think again, that the cutting board was necessary, for me it ruins the more elegant mood of the image.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Well I hope you do get a chance to see each other and bake together like you had planned.

Thanks, everyone for the comments and favorites!

Vera, this time I agree with you. It worked better in my mind than in reality. Thanks for your detailed feedback :).

I wish I could have a bigger space as yours here.
Everything else is fine with me, except the left side of your plate. There is a bit brighter.

The deep red of the tart is beautiful. The single piece is very realistic. I like the colors. Like Vera, I would have omitted the board, although it brings a nice swing to the image (repeated by the pink napkin). The main colors, red, blue and white, would perhaps have been stronger without the wood.

The grayish blue is grounding. It is good.

Oh, I almost missed this one! Lovely shot, Xiaolu. I like the lighting and colours here. I will have to agree with Vera about the board though. Love that cute little bucket!
