Is the flavour dominant salty ? I will wait for the recipe then. I like the combination of black and navy blue . Bring different atmosphere for the cake it self, the light ia also great Xiaolu!

Okay, seriously you have to stop teasing us. :-) This is killing me, I'm dying to know what this tastes like. Salty and sweet is the best combo in desserts, this must be fabulous. Is this what you are serving for dessert on Thanksgiving?

      Wuhuu-uu....dangerous looking stuff!

That you have divided the frame in two parts with strong color-contrast is very good. The simple act repeats in the cake itself, thus placing a powerful focus there. The frosting and caramel are enjoying the light that brings the best out of them. Although the colors of the set up indicate seriousness, the cake is amusing, fun. It looks home-made and that's not bad.

Crown is the first word that came to mind when I saw the cake. It gave a boost to imagination and now I'm building a fairy tale in my head.... Krrrrr...

Now, this is a very sexy cake Xiaolu. I love how the caramel dripples down on the side. Gained 5 kg, just by looking at your shot...

Thanks for the nice comments and favs, everyone! I hope all of you who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday had a lovely one :). Asri and Sylvie, there is only a hint of salt in the flavor which sets off the (admittedly plentiful) sugar in the rest of the cake nicely. Definitely not a dominant taste =).

Oh, my, Xiaolu! Love those little peaks on the frosting and the caramel sliding down! Beautiful contrasts here, nicely done!

I think I like this one better than the other shot. It gives me that mouth watering feel. 8P
On another note, anything with dripping caramel is a winner to me.
Gorgeous contrast as well, I really love blue and brown together.

Thanks, Aisha and Crystal! I love caramel, too. I hope my reprocessing didn't take away its mouth-watering appeal :).
