I also have another version without the blueberries on top, but I think this one flows better.

      Beautiful!

So how do ricotta pancakes taste? Are they relatively sweet or more savory? Texture? (Just curious, heard of ricotta pancakes but obviously never tried them)

Oh yummy! Beautiful shot. I like as the napkin harmonize with the colour of blueberries, and the composition is well done.

      Thanks, and !

      - I made these with 2 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of salt, so they were about as sweet/salty as my usual pancakes. The texture was airy from beating the egg whites separately but smooth and rich from the ricotta. Hope that helps!

That certainly does :) Thank you - just might try one of these days

great composition, and the pancakes look dynamite. the blow-out at lower left is distracting from the star here - maybe take the tones down just enough so that it isn't overexposed?

Thanks for the great commentary, Melina! I see clearly now that I had increased the exposure too much. The photo has been updated, and I hope you'll find it improved. I have been a great admirer of your work, by the way, and it's been a wonderful source of information and inspiration.

The "blue" napkin is a very good choice, this color makes a nice complement. I like the lighting too.
