Bugs on a leaf
I walked only steps from my front door when I noted that the canna lilly leaves were being eaten. A closer look revealed this intimate "mass of bugs" on the under-side of the leaf multi-tasking - eating and apparently pro-creating.
I actually grabbed hold of the leaf and turned it up to the late afternoon sun to get better light and a better view of these busy critters. Taking photos with only one hand on the camera has its challenges and the technical quality of these bug images is not the greatest.
NOTE TO ME FOR THE FUTURE: Set the aperture to at least f16 for greater DOF when taking these kinds of images.
