Night time entry to the Alhambra is restricted to the Nasrid Palace (Palacio Nazaries) only, a true gem, even more so with the lighting that they have put in place. The Alhambra is the most impressive example of Muslim architecture in all of Europe and the most visited monument as well (yes, ahead of Eiffel Tower, Tower of London, Versailles, Pisa etc). We did a 10 to 11:30pm visit of the Nasrid Palace and were back the next morning for a tour of the entire palace.
A visit to the Alhambra is a timeless journey through perfectly proportioned rooms, intricately moulded stucco walls, exquisitely carved wooden ceilings, all worked in symbolic and geometric patterns. If you ever go, try and do both the night and day visits, its so worth it.
