Tyler's Green ShotC Vest

Tyler is my cousin's awesome 5 year old and I had it in me to make him a special little vest. He requested green so I went off to The Needle Shop with my friend Emily and found a beautiful green shot cotton and some Cloud 9 organic alligators to act as the lining. I used the Figgy's Franco and Fiona pattern and made him a size 4-5 and it fits well in the chest but is a bit too short. I love all the slot seam details although I may forgo that option in other makes of this pattern and the asymmetrical front adds extra spunk to the simple vest. I used concave metal buttons from my stash that were probably given to me by my Grandma and only used 3 so it was easier for him to button on his own. Overall a nice little vest and Ty is happy with his "Alligator Vest" and he says he "really likes it 'cause it is really green!"
