How large is this quilt? I can't tell what the height of your fence might be.
  • drury girl 3y

The quilt is roughly 80" x 80" not huge, but bigger than I had thought it was going to be....
  • Judith 3y

That's a very nice, useable size. Love how you use so many patterned fabrics.

Wow! I heard there's a method for building the last border and the blue one next to it. Something with stripes. Do you know a tutorial?
  • drury girl 2y

    Kreatives von mir
hi- yes that is a simple one- you sew 2 blue and one orange strip together, sandwiching the orange. I think all three are roughly the same width - say 3" and then you slice them all up-
say 2" (all estimates) and then I finger pressed the individual slices to get the center of the
orange- I lined that up with blue/orange seam, and sewed those over and over, and then I cut down the blue on both sides......
I will take some photo's tonight and see if I can't give a brief tutorial.

oh that would be nice. I think I understand what you mean. Pictures are always better as I'm a visual learner I think ('though often it all makes sense when I start to make something). Thank you.
