Thanks! I did debate as to whether it was worth climbing High Wheeldon due to very heavy drizzle/mist/rain when I got there. But the weather forecast had promised a bright end to the day, so up I went and after about 40 minutes of hanging around, the weather did brighten up and gave this beautiful spectacle.

Thanks, it was worth putting up with the wind and rain to capture this view, it is a stunning part of the Peak Park.

One of my favourite places I have never been to!! lol. I always think of fish swimming around me when I am walking ancient reefs like this. I think Cave dale is the same near Castleton.

I've found it very quiet when I've walked around here, meeting very few other people.

THats encouraging! I have friday off this week and I want to use it to go walking. Was thinking of this area, the Roaches, Manifold valley or Chrome Hill etc, Parkhouse Hill. Today I was walking with my mums walking group and we did 6 miles from Ladybower to Bamford.

PsCan you now get up Parkhouse Hill?

  16. l4ts 45 months ago | reply

Yes, Parkhouse Hill is now access land under the 'CRoW 2000' Act. It is a very steep climb though!
