Growing wild, pink and pretty
Photographed where it was growing wild in Kruger National Park with 50-500mm Sigma lens. I have been paging through my books on South African wildflowers, and the closest match seems to be gladiolus, perhaps Gladiolus crassifolius which occurs in stony grassland through eastern South Africa and tropical Africa. South Africa has 170 species of gladiolus of which some hybrids are grown widely as cut-flowers.
