The Rescue: Baseball photo 1 of 100
I came across a couple of people in "This Group of our Own" who are engaged in a project called "100 Possibilities." The concept is that you post 100 different images of one object. I kind of like the idea of a challenge, especially with winter coming up, and this seems much more appealing to me than a 365-day project.
So here goes. The object is a genuine Eastern League baseball that almost conked me in the head when I had the audacity to leave a Portland Sea Dogs game in the 8th inning a few years back. I have a few ideas in mind, but it will be interesting to see where this project takes me. Hopefully I can learn a little bit more about composition and macro photography in the process. The biggest challenge may be to get the ball into a panorama!
#1 isn't a great photo by any means. This shows the ball in its captive habitat on my desk at work, from where I have rescued it in order to embark on this project. Hopefully future entries can be in focus!
