Into the Storm
Snow on the sea wall is a rare thing. It seldom settles due to a salt rich environment and warmer temperatures on the coast.
Storm Emma combined with the Beast from the East and the result was two days of chaos.
The snow hit us around 1430hrs and the sea wall closed to traffic the following morning due to storm damage.
So...there were 2 1/2 hours where photography was possible. Here is my second offering from that period.
Storm Emma or The Pest from the West brought high winds snow and sub zero temperatures along with a Red Weather Warning from the met office, translated it means risk of death if ventured into. Luckily i survived but i don't recall ever experiencing such extreme weather.
43151 brings up the rear of the 1500 Plymouth to Reading service and disappears in a cloud of snow dust.
