Bedroom Eyes

Two of our parakeets, Shrek and Rainbow, making eyes at one another.

You can tell mature males from females by the color of their cere (the fleshy part above their beak and around their nostrils): males ceres are blue (parakeet on left); females are tan, brown, white, or white with a little pale blue (parakeet on right).
