A ring; a possibility.

The possibility; love.

To catch one's eye.

A knowledge; you are in love.

I saw this bedazzled red ring today, and its very essence of sparkle caught my eye. I had to have it on my finger. It made me think, is love the same way? When you find somebody you love to an infinity - do you have to have it, do you have to call it "yours"?

Do we wear rings as a representation of property, or does it truly display "love"? When it comes down to marriage, do we marry people onto our fingers?

Marriage. What does it even mean these days? It seems like we're gripping on to the idea more so than love. We're just slipping it on to our finger for a size.

Do I look down at my finger as if it's for rent, or is it permanent property?

Maybe I don't want a ring. Maybe I want the very essence.
