Tonight Dan made dinner for me and Tom (steak salad -- super yummy) and KB had given us leftover brownies for dinner. Then we built a big fire in Dan's new Slojoe fire pit and we talked for hours and hours and hours. Around midnight we realized that maybe we should do some dishes.
Life is good. I'm stoked it's summer.
"Can we do this a lot this summer?" I asked Dan. "Of course," said Dan.
"What else for summer?" I asked.
Tom and I have decided that even if we can't get a group together, the two of us are hitting Disneyland. Dan will be showing outdoor movies a lot ("How often?" I asked and he indicated as often as we can get videos.)
This weekend is Live Oak which means it will be a friendship reunion of sorts. We'll miss Calvo, who will be in DC, but Zephyr's coming (en route from Peru back to Mass), and Heather and Maya -- those are the out of town players. Then there is the local crew.
I just want it to be one of those filled to the brim super saturated summers where I look back and think, yeah, that was a great summer. Instead of one of those summers where I look back and think, "Shoot; shoulda coulda woulda."
Tonight was a great start.
