Frangipanni no.9

    Newer Older

Plumeria (Frangipani) also known as the Lei flower, is native to warm tropical areas of the Pacific Islands. There is absolutely nothing like the sweet fragrance of Plumeria in flower, with fragrances of jasmine, citrus, spices, gardenia, and other indescribable scents. These flowers are treasured by the Polynesian Islanders for their durability, fragrances and colors of whites, yellows, pinks, reds, and multiple pastels. Flowering can last up to 3 months at a time producing new blooms everyday.

contrary to the last of frangipanni foto, this one has had WB set manually..I think auto was better..the complexity of adjustments on the NIKON P1 is boggling for this amateur

Really fine capture Alan. Nice, color, cut, clarity, oh, that would be for diamonds - but you know what I mean.

So fresh and beautiful! I've rarely taken a plumeria shot I thought was worth a damn -- this one is worth three or four damns at least!

      Thanks Pete..
I have this very small plumeria tree in my driveway and I have taken several dozens of "exposures" to arrive at at least five that I think are presentable

Stunning, Alan! These are among my favourite flowers. Too cold for them down our way, but they are common in Queensland, where I gre up.
