Moscow, Russia - Oct 10 2010
Greenpeace Russia organized an acorn harvest in Dubki park after the 2010 forest fires. Hundreds of people picked up about 3000 kg of acorn during this day to promote reforestation as a solution to climate change and to urge politicians to pass clean energy policies.
This was one of over 7,000 climate action events taking place in in 188 countries around the world on 10/10/10 as part of “The Global Work Party.” This synchronized international event is organized by 350.org, and is expected to be the largest day of environmental activism in history.
Greenpeace salutes the thousands of individuals and communities who are celebrating practical solutions in fighting the climate crisis and making the Energy Revolution a reality as
part of the October 10 Global Day of Action.
