Oxfam New Zealand highlighted the human impact of climate change on Pacific people with an art installation of 350 Pacific Islands 'hung out to dry', erecting a gigantic washing line in the ocean at Takapuna beach and hanging 350 t-shirts on it, each depicting a different Pacific Island name. The last t-shirt was hung up by Jane, a 9- year-old Samoan, who waded through the ocean, took off her shirt and hung it from the line, and recited a poem she wrote especially for the day of action - about climate change, her future and 350 Pacific Islands 'hung out to dry'.
