Monkey Trainers on Juhu Beach
I ended up chilling with a bunch of "bunder-wallahs" (in English = monkey trainers). In this picture, you can only see one monkey. But there were about five monkeys total.
There was a very large crowd on the beach, families and men and women relaxing and eating snacks. It was a very pleasant scene for Mumbai - nice breeze, fair lighting, happy people. But, of course, lots of trash on the beach. Oh well.
Update about the MONKEY HANDLERS. Their monkeys did tricks if you paid them money. The monkeys were on a leash. Bunder means MONKEY in Hindi. They monkeys were non-aggressive, but somehow one of them jumped at me once. I jumped back, but it didn't try to eat my leg (like I thought it was going to do). I DID, however, see one monkey steal a banana from someone. They monkeys probably weighed 5kg to 12kg each.
