date smoothie

9 oz datess

1 cup non fat yogurt

1 cup skim milk

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups ice cubes

 

1) Blend until smooth.

2) Enjoy

 

This "recipe" is from www.epicurious.com/recipes/recipe_views/views/238287 I used 2% milk because that's what we have in the house. I used 1" of fresh vanilla because that's how I roll. I used medjool dates because they're delicious. I smashed the ice cubes in a plastic bag using a cleaver and used an immersion blender to finish.

 

Now that I've got the basics mastered it should be easy to do this again. Mango and banana seem like the most natural next choices but there's a little voice telling me that avocado would be interesting. Also, I'd like to learn about what spices to use to give it an Indian flavor.
