saag paneer
delicious.
fire hosted a guest chef for this dinner. She's a talented home cook. Unfortunately, I didn't get a decent picture of one of the best dishes of the meal. The tandoori chicken was fantastic.
In at least one way, this was a natural choice for fire. They've had a tandoori oven since they opened.
Besides the special chef, the evening's other feature was goat. I also failed to capture two of the meal's three goat dishes. I was lucky enough to sit next to the farmers responsible for the goat.
I'd love to see goat used more often in Cleveland. Shanti's kitchen was really the only place where I ate it. If I find a decent replacement Caribbean restaurant, I imagine that they'd have it, too. It would be nice to have an authentic Mexican restaurant that offered goat. And tongue which makes a fantastic taco. And al pastor and cabeza, neither of which I've ever managed to find.
