Popcorn Cake
Some young friends helped me celebrate my recent birthday by fashioning a cake made out of popcorn, marshmallows, peanuts and M&Ms. I'm not much on sugar but man I love popcorn. The littlest one said to me: "We heard you were all alone on your 40th birthday" which somehow gave me tremendous gleeful pride that yes, I had been alone on my 40th birthday, except that it was my 30th and I hadn't been alone.
