Trees, Rocks,Water,

This is a little river that runs by where i live, painting rivers up close is something I enjoy very much not only can I just relax and take my time ,but just the sound of the soft running river can put even the grumpiest of people in a good mood, or at least it should, usually when I know I'm going to be painting in such a place I take a simple lunch chicken and rice soup, french bread, you know the kind in the bag unsliced,I love to pull it apart with my fingers and green tea to sip on, while I drink my tea out in nature my thoughts go back in time of the french impressionist ,painting the way they would paint,While out in nature I find myself taking longer than the painting should take because I don't want to leave even when the painting is finished, its like when I paint I find myself slipping into a state of mediation , I try to take in all the beauty mother nature is showing me, but I know that is impossible she has too much beauty for any artist,we can only hope to slightly scratch the surface, hours past like minutes and the sun slowly dips to say goodnight, nature touches me deeply, tenderly,,its kind of weird because after painting such scenes, the call of the towns and cities begin to call out my name and all of the hustle and bustle that goes with it, I guess that is just something a painter must learn to deal with, constantly seeking different stimuli to keep the creative juices flowing, take care everyone, and remember to just keep painting! and dont forget, (painting only in a studio will soon become a prison),steve ,h,
