Quiet Crossing

Once used by the Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company, this crossing was part of a rail link connecting Colfax and Farmington. Here at Elberton, the line once served a sawmill, a flour mill, and the world's largets prune dryer. Now, all that remains is a bridge without rails and a church without churchgoers.
